Dr. Saeed Tofigh
Dr. Saeed Tofigh grew up in Maryland, and completed his bachelor’s degree in Physiology and Neurobiology at University of Maryland, College Park (UMCP). He then attended University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Dental Medicine (UMB Dental School), where he graduated at the top of his class. Dr. Tofigh practiced as a general dentist in Silver Spring, Maryland for over 2 years before continuing his training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) at Carle Foundation Hospital in Champaign/Urbana, Illinois. His OMFS training included an internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a comprehensive four year residency with training in Anesthesiology, General Surgery, Trauma, Hospital Medicine, and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
His professional interests focus on dentoalveolar surgery, third molar removal, dental implants, bone grafting, general anesthesia, corrective jaw (orthognathic) surgery, maxillofacial and salivary gland pathology, facial trauma, and facial reconstruction. He also has extensive experience in oral cancer and cleft lip and palate surgery. Dr. Tofigh utilizes the newest technology in computer-aided surgical treatment planning for his implant surgeries to gain the highest level of precision and predictability achievable for these cases.
Dr. Tofigh is a part of several professional organizations. He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, and Northern Virginia Dental Society. Outside of caring for patients, Dr. Tofigh enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children. He has a passion for aviation and outdoor activities/sports such as soccer and skiing. Dr. Tofigh also enjoys volunteering his time to help the local community through various healthcare organizations such as Mission of Mercy (MOM).
