Dr. A. Terry Sweeney, D.D.S.

Dr. A. Terry Sweeney graduated cum laude from Detroit Dental School in 1971 with his doctor of dental surgery. In 1974, he completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Connecticut, St. Francis Hospital.

Dr. Sweeney is the past Chief of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at Shady Grove Hospital and Holy Cross Hospital.

Dr. Sweeney belongs to several professional dental organizations including the American Dental Association, the Frederick County Dental Society, the Greater Washington Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Capital Academy of Clinical Dentistry, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.  Additionally, he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a Fellow of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, and a founding fellow of the American Board of Ambulatory Anesthesia.  Dr. Sweeney is a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society.
